The police along with the entire justice system, the fire department, social and mental health workers, and all other branches of the government are adamantly despised.After a woman is murdered, Detective Douglas and his team face a wall of hatred and outright defiance. When arsonists target Blackett Hill, the residents band together to save their community. Not knowing what to do, the police delve into the residents’ pasts and find things that don’t add up, and numerous suspects with a lot to lose.As things intensify, despite the growing police presence, the isolated residents take matters into their own hands. Backed by the wealthy recluse that built the community, a very overprotective doctor, plus a cunning and resourceful lawyer, they were determined to see justice served.
