Mientras esto ocurría a nivel nacional, otro conflicto no menos importante se desarrollaba en las calles de Lima: la expansión del comercio informal, que agregó enfrentamientos entre autoridades, comerciantes y vecinos.Este libro analiza la expansión del ambulantaje, su relación con la crisis mayor del Estado nacional y local, sus vínculos con la extensa y profunda crisis económica y su impacto en los imaginarios urbanos. Además, incorpora la perspectiva de los propios ambulantes a través de información periodística y entrevistas.En esta segunda edición se ha añadido una nueva introducción y un capítulo adicional que analiza la situación de los ambulantes durante la pandemia de la Covid-19 y el tiempo posterior. Asimismo, se reflexiona acerca del papel de las regulaciones estatales en medio de la emergencia y su impacto en el comercio ambulatorio. 10
