Y, sin embargo, Conan Doyle incidía en la posibilidad de que la gran selva amazónica todavía guardase secretos insospechados, como así es. Cerraba el libro con un final irónico que nadie espera en una novela de aventuras clásicas de la que luego, muy evidentemente, beberían nuevos clásicos como King Kong. 10
