'From Sin to Salvation is a little like a fine meal with several courses. I wanted to read it slowly and make it last! The variety of subject matter and the combination of art and poetry touched me in a very special way! Literary novice or expert will both enjoy it!'Joe Tuttle, Senior PastorBethel Baptist ChurchEmporia, Kansas'I recommend this book for anyone who is pondering his or her journey or personal quest for the meaning of life that is embraced by our Lord Jesus Christ!'John Rinde, MDIVRetired PastorCouncil Bluffs, Iowa'I had never read a book of poetry before.  What a wonderful surprise I got when I read this book by Jack Egger.  It made me want to know the complete story of his life.  I recommend it and believe you will enjoy reading it.'Jerry DartAuthor of AFTER THE RAPTURELa Salle, ColoradoDiscipleship is not a spectator sport. We are called to be an active part of the body of Christ. The poems and paintings in From Sin to Salvation were created and compiled with the hope of energizing 'saved Christians,' and challenging the 'unsaved' to look closer at their lives. Subjects addressed in this book broach many of life’s most difficult subjects: war, death, suicide, sinful relationships, drugs, alcohol, and Christian complacency.  It also celebrates personal salvation and the beauty of God’s creation. You are challenged to evaluate your sinful nature, your faith, and your salvation. With salvation comes a responsibility and a calling to use your talents for the glory of God. Jack Egger lives with his wife Christine Ann Egger in Emporia, Kansas. Jack is a writer, and an artist.  His artwork adorns several churches. He received his Master of Arts degree in Social Sciences from Pacific Lutheran University.  He served in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1976, leaving with the rank of Captain. Jack has a Transportation Management degree from the University of Tennessee and retired as Vice President of Operations from HVH Transportation in Denver, Colorado in 2011, after many years in the trucking industry.  His intent is to continue integrating his art with his faith and glorifying God as long as he is able. ‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....
