En este edificio de suma belleza e inexplicablemente no dañado en absoluto por la hecatombe, se enfrentará situaciones insólitas: su vecina de habitación, Laura, hace intentos desesperados por iniciar un nuevo contacto con él, todos ellos siempre infructuosos. Obstáculos anodinos interfieren siempre el encuentro anhelado por Laura, y propiciado, además por el dueño del hotel, el humanitario 'don Porfirio'; pero, ¿esto es así en realidad?
