MARTIAL ARTS PERFORMANCE METRICSCombative sports like Pencak Silat and Wushu have long been recognized as not only physical disciplines but also their profound cultural and spiritual traditions. The present study is a descriptive study to analyze and compare the Muscular Strength, Muscular Power, Body Mass Index (BMI) and Peak Flow Rate between male Penchak Silat and Wushu players. For the purpose of the study 40 (fourty) Inter-Collegiate males, 20 (twenty) Penchak Silat and 20 (twenty) Wushu players were selected from Panjab University, Chandigarh at the age range from 20 to 25 years. There were no significant differences obtained on Back and Leg Strength, Hand Grip Strength (Left and Right), Muscular Power (Standing Broad Jump and Vertical Jump) and Peak Flow Rate. However, significant differences was obtained on the Body Mass Index between the Inter-Collegiate male Penchak Silat and Wushu players.
