Pretendemos establecer lazos comunes a los principales dioses que han existido desde que se tiene constancia escrita de ellos, y se han transmitido a lo largo de las civilizaciones con distintos nombres pero con los mismos atributos. De esta manera, presentamos una investigación que forma parte de un proyecto iniciado con antelación, sobre la materia descrita. En esta ocasión, describiremos las principales funciones, determinando los atributos de cada uno de estos dioses considerados principales de sus respectivos panteones, desde Mesopotamia al Occidente europeo, aportando brevemente ejemplos de dioses de otras partes del mundo.
