Now-a-days people suffer more from snoring problems and it is found more usually among children than before. It appears to affect between 1 and 4% of all children (including infants). Prevalence review has predicted that, nearly 4% of the men and 2% of the women in the middle- age were afflicted by OSA in the developed countries. Prevalence of OSAS in India is 2.4-7.5% in males and 1-2.1% in females. In instruments like PolySomnoGraphy that are currently used to diagnose apnea, Patient has to wear the mask throughout the night. This makes the Patient feel uncomfortable while sleeping. So there is a necessity to predict it without any disturbance to the subject and in order to reduce the time taken for diagnosis.
