This book is the outcome of my research during the last decade. It covers the problem of polymer brushes which are lubricant in the mammalian knee joints and stabilizers of cells movements. This topic is a very complex one in the field of soft matter and biological Physics. Moreover, it has many applications in future tech like artificial knee joints as well as artificial cells. I wrote this book after I finished my research fellowship in Germany because I realized that there are some important issues missing in the current theories about this system.
