Il processo di apprendimento in un’università si basa su una combinazione di lezioni in classe e lavoro indipendente degli studenti. Le principali forme di organizzazione del lavoro didattico in classe sono lezioni frontali, seminari, lezioni di laboratorio e workshop. Ognuno di essi ha le sue caratteristiche distintive, a volte sviluppatesi nel corso di diversi secoli - e in questo caso la tradizione accademica impone una chiara distribuzione dei ruoli in ciascuna delle classi e le condizioni alle quali tutti i partecipanti avranno successo. Ma nel mondo moderno, l’istruzione si sta sviluppando in modo dinamico, quindi stanno emergendo nuove forme di organizzazione del processo educativo, che, di regola, sono associate a metodi innovativi utilizzati dagli insegnanti nel loro lavoro. L’esperienza dell’istruzione superiore nazionale ed estera mostra che un aumento della quantità di informazioni incluse nei programmi degli istituti di istruzione superiore porta a un significativo sovraccarico delle aule per gli studenti. E allo stesso tempo, il rapido aggiornamento della conoscenza ha reso inappropriato fare affidamento sul materiale di memorizzazione e, di conseguenza, lo scopo dell’educazione è cambiato. L’obiettivo principale dell’istruzione non era acquisire una certa quantità di conoscenza, ma sviluppare il pensiero e le capacità per l’acquisizione indipendente della conoscenza.
