La obra de Rueda Gutiérrez y Morales hereda lo mejor de la arquitectura moderna colombiana y la complementa con la influencia de la arquitectura escandinava y holandesa de la segunda mitad del siglo XX. La publicación de sus proyectos, principalmente las agrupaciones de vivienda unifamiliar, influyeron en la manera de entender el hábitat en comunidad y abrieron un capítulo muy importante en la rica tradición de la arquitectura doméstica en Colombia.
