L’introduzione tratta di una rassegna della letteratura sugli isossazolo-5-oni, con particolare attenzione ai composti con anelli fusi e agli spirocomposti. La reazione del 4-bromo-3-s-isoxazolino (I) con la tio-carbammide ha portato alla formazione del 5-alchil/aril-ammino-3-s-tiazolo(5,4-d)isoxazolo; il derivato 5-amminico, a sua volta, in reazione con gli isotiocianati ha fornito i corrispondenti composti tioureidici.
