This book focuses on the use of hyperspectral data from the PRISMA satellite mission (2019) for geological mapping in the Central Anti-Atlas of Morocco. This work aims to overcome the limitations of traditional mapping methods by proposing an approach based on space-based remote sensing. The main objective is to improve the accuracy of lithological mapping and the identification of weathering minerals by leveraging the spectral richness of PRISMA images. A literature review and an analysis of the regional geological context were used to define the methodology employed.Several image processing techniques were applied, including Principal Component Analysis (PCA), spectral band ratios, and the Spectral Angle Mapper (SAM) algorithm. The results obtained highlight the relevance of hyperspectral data for geological mapping and the delineation of zones favorable for mineralization, serving as a decision-support tool for mineral exploration.
