Dr. Joan A. Polidore is the daughter of Mr. Cyril and Christian Dejean. She is the ninth of sixteen children. She was born at Morne Prosper on the Caribbean island of Dominica. The village was called Morne Prosper because it was a prolific village. Her parents were devoted Roman Catholics and so she was not allowed to read the bible. However, Pastor Polidore was determined to study the Word of God.  In 1979, Dr. Polidore relocated to the U S A due to the destruction of Dominica by Hurricane David. Dr. Polidore is married to Pastor Julian Polidore and they are the proud parents of four professional daughters, Beverly, Julia, Amanda and Deborah.
