1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.೧:೧ ಆದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನೂ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.೧:೨ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಮಿಯು ನಿರಾಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಶೂನ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಮತ್ತು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯು ಪ್ರಪಾತದ ಮುಖದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇತ್ತು. ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರ ಆತ್ಮವು ನೀರಿನ ಮುಖದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಲಿಸಿತು.1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.೧:೩ ದೇವರು, 'ಬೆಳಕು ಇರಲಿ' ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು, ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳಕು ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು.1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.೧:೪ ದೇವರು ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದನು, ಅದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೆಂದು. ದೇವರು ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಿಂದ ಭಾಗಿಸಿದನು.1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.೧:೫ ದೇವರು ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಹಗಲು ಎಂದೂ ಕತ್ತಲೆಗೆ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಎಂದೂ ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು. ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲವೂ ಪ್ರಾತಃಕಾಲವೂ ಆಗಿ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ದಿನವಾಯಿತು.
