This work first published in 2004 focused on a deconstruction of the discourse of Jihad of Sunni islam to 1990 in order to place the Jihad of the Jamaat al Muslimeen of Trinidad and Tobago of July 27th 1990 in context. In so doing the discourse of Jihad of Shi’a Islam was also deconstructed as well as the position of Sufi Islam. The issue of Muslims living in a minority position in a social order dominated by non-Muslims was also deconstructed which revealed the varying discourses of jurisprudence on this issue between Sunni and Shi’a Islam and within both forms of Islamic praxis. This then revealed the terrain of possible and prohibited action which impacted the choices of the Jamaat al Muslimeen in formulating its response to a growing hostile kuffar State. A chapter on the discourse of Jihad of Al-Qaeda is included added after the initial study was completed given the attack on Amerikka and Spain whilst the original text was completed. In this revised version the strategy is now to interrogate key discursive agents of the non-Salafi-Jihadi Sunni discourse of Jihad to determine if their discourse points to a path of liberation from the hegemony of white supremacist discourse over us who are the victims of massa colonial/ neocolonial domination. The discourse of Sayyid Qutb was chosen for deconstruction revealing Qutb’s servility at the level of the idea to white supremacist discourse, his racist position on the African race and his faulty analysis of what Amerikkka is which reeks of servility to massa. Qutb’s discourse of Jihad is rooted in white supremacist discourse, servility to massa at the level of the idea, thereby ensuring our continued bondage to massa.
