They say that an author’s first short stories are their most raw. Well, this short story collection definitely proves that to be true. To be honest, some of these stories can be a little difficult to read. Not because they are badly written, in fact they are actually the opposite, but because they are overflowing with the outsized emotions of someone still on the upward climb of life, trying to figure out who they are and what they want amidst the chaos generated by so many trying to figure out the same things at the same time. Whether triumph or shame, this collection dares to put it all out there.
