There used to be a place which young people claimed was better than other places. A quirky utopia where the sins of the past would be washed away in gentle rains and we would all go forward together arm in arm drinking IPAs and singing folk tunes. A municipality where the deeply rooted old ways would be plowed under, so the seeds of a new world could be planted. This place was called Portland, and the stories in this collection explore how despite the hype, it was a place like any other, with people held back by the same old mistakes and doubts that have always plagued us.
